**Celebrities had the opportunity to choose their own ceramic piece, with the direction of their design to be focused on “Being A Good Egg”:

  • Which can be translated down to messaging of; love, peace, unity, we all have ability to give;
  • The HISTORY in where the concept of this event took from was SMD’s first fundraiser “The Paper Egg Campaign” which first ran in 1949, in which the graphic chosen was a chick hatching out of an egg.  The Paper Egg campaign was chosen to operate in SPRINGTIME to signify; “new beginnings” , “re-birth”, “birth”, “beauty of life”.  The campaign still operates to this day in springtime
  • The messaging was so lovely, that we decided to utilize it towards the building the inception of the “Be A Good Egg”-Celebrity Fundraiser – In support of Manitobans with disabilities.

 ***A big thank you again to Brush Contemporary Ceramic Studio for donating your venue space, time, and ceramic pieces for the Celebrity participants.  Also, a big thanks to Hu's Asian Bistro for all of their support!
