The February Disability Resource Digest is now available for viewing and download.

The DRD contains a number of articles on disability and accessibility related topics, including advocacy, education, employment, government, health/wellness, legal, medicine, policy, research, sports, self-help and technology.

Articles of interest this month include a piece on a CNIB protest of federal government plans to appeal mandated website accessibility and also an exploration of internet-based barriers.

The DRD also profiles an opinion piece on encouraging parents of children with autism to set the bar higher and draws attention to an Autism Center for Excellence Webcast Series available to educations, parents, program managers and caregivers.

On the employment front, it speaks to the challenges of people with disabilities when looking for meaningful work and also explores IT expectations in the workplace.

The DRD also features a number of general health and wellness issues, and provides a directory of disability-related events going on across North America and the world in coming months.
