Thanks to the generosity of our corporate and community partners and the commitment of our valued donors, SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba achieved its mandate of generating contributions and fostering philanthropy.
The Board focused on a number of initiatives with an emphasis on raising funds and disbursing funds for persons with disabilities. These key areas included the development of policies, enhanced financial oversight and review, and continued protection of net assets.
Under the direction of the Investment Advisory Committee, funds are invested with Manulife and continued to be monitored and reviewed in order to maximize returns.
In the pursuit of long term sustainability, SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba is committed to evaluating its current avenues for charitable giving and attracting new donors by exploring new opportunities for philanthropic involvement by the community.
