Q. How will I find out who the winners are?

A. The names of all winners will be published on our website www.HomeSweetHomeLottery.com.  If you win, we will notify you by phone.  People may register their email with lottery@smd.mb.ca and they will be sent information and winners' names.

Q. How old must you be to buy a ticket?
A. Purchasers must be at least 18 years old.  Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.

Q. How many tickets are being sold for The Easter Seals™ Home Sweet Home Lottery?
A. Only 12,400 tickets are being sold.  Tickets are processed on a first come, first served basis.

Q. How many 50/50 BONUS™ tickets are being sold?
A. There are 375,000 50/50 BONUS™ tickets for sale.  50/50 BONUS™ tickets will be sold until the total jackpot reaches a maximum of $1,000,000.  The winner receives half of the total jackpot, up to a maximum of $500,000.

Q. How come only one name is allowed on the ticket order?
A. Tickets are issued in the purchaser's name only in accordance with the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba regulations.  If you wish to buy tickets as a group, the purchaser is responsible for distributing any prizes in the event of a group purchase winning. 

Q. How many draws are there?
A. There is a total of 14 draws plus the 50/50 BONUS™ draw.  

Q. When is the final order deadline to purchase tickets?
A. October 31, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.

Q. When are the draws? 
A. All the draws will take place on November 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Q. When will I get my tickets?
A. Once ticket orders are received they will be processed and tickets are mailed directly to the person's home, or any address on the order.  ALL TICKETS will be mailed to one address only.  The usual period of time is about 2 weeks. 

Q. Do I get a charitable tax receipt with my order?
A. Sorry. Currently lottery tickets are not considered a charitable donation eligible for a tax deductible receipt.

Q. Where does the money from ticket sales go?
A. The proceeds will be used for operations, endowments, & grants in support of programs and services for children, youth and adults with disabilities throughout the province of Manitoba.  With your help, vital programs and services will help Manitobans with disabilities reach their full potential and their independence. Thanks for your support.

Q. How long do I have to claim my lottery prize?
A. 60 days after the final draw.

Q. What happens to prizes that are not claimed?
A. They are donated to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities (SMD) Foundation.

Q. Can a lottery winner remain anonymous?
A. No. We are required by law to publish the name, prize won and date of draw.

Q. What happens if I lose the winning ticket?
A. You do not need the ticket to claim your prize. We have all of the necessary information to verify winners.  Your name, address and phone number is recorded in the database along with your ticket number.  If you win, we will phone you. If we cannot speak to you we will contact you by mail.  It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the mailing address on their ticket order form is correct.
