Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (Transcona Support Group) Meeting
January 21, 2019, February 18, 2019
Group members learn about the causes of hearing loss as well as available treatments. Participants help each other develop effective coping skills and enjoy learning and sharing ideas with others in a supportive and positive environment.
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) Manitoba Chapter is a not-for-profit organization run by and for people who are hard of hearing that is committed to addressing the needs of people with hearing loss in Manitoba.
SMD Self-Help Clearinghouse supports a network of independent self-help organizations which in turn provide services to people with disabilities. They are able to draw upon each other’s strengths and develop new approaches to common challenges by pooling their knowledge, ideas and experience.
Self-help groups are small, autonomous and open groups that meet regularly to allow members to share experiences, resources and coping mechanisms and – on occasion – come together for social change.
