Pathways Program

This program is a partnership between our Thompson Supported Employment Program (TSEP) and the School District of Mystery Lake. With generous funding from MB Education & Training’s First Jobs Fund, we are able to provide off campus assessment and pre-employment skills programing to students with disabilities. Additionally, students can receive Respectful Workplace Training & Cultural Awareness Training as well as we provide students the opportunity to receive the following certifications:

We have partnered with local employers that offer students an opportunity for unpaid work site assessment to gage work readiness. Afterwards, if the students are successful, the opportunity to enter into a paid work experience can become a reality. This will not only enhance their employability skills but also provide them with the experience and skills required for future employment.

For students attending R.D. Parker Collegiate in Thompson, Manitoba, they can receive modified credits by going through this program.

This program is located in Thompson, Manitoba and was created when our Thompson office staff recognized gaps in regards to youth transitioning to adulthood who have intellectual and or learning disabilities but did not always meet the eligibility criteria for Community Living Disability Services (CLDS).

Community & Youth Corrections were frequently referring students to TSEP and a considerable number of these youth had at some point:
