Community Education and Training

Helping individuals, businesses and the community better understand and support the removal of barriers to full and equal participation.

what we offer.

Accessible Customer Service Training

The Accessibility for Manitobans Act Customer Service Standard requires businesses to offer inclusive customer service. Manitoba Possible’s training underscores the significance of accessibility while equipping businesses with the knowledge to comply with the standard.

Accessible Employment Standard Training

The Accessibility for Manitobans Act Accessible Employment Standard aims to eliminate barriers for both existing and potential employees. Manitoba Possible collaborates with employers across the business, non-profit, and public sectors to deliver training on The Human Rights Code, inclusive hiring practices, and other mandates outlined in the act’s standards.

Workshops

We present to schools, public-sector, non-profit organizations and businesses in-person or virtually, focusing on the removal of barriers through a range of topics:

Disability Awareness

An introductory course to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and facilitate effective communication. Participants of this workshop will gain fundamental knowledge to create a more inclusive society for people with disabilities.

Inclusive Recreation

Ensure inclusion for everyone by exploring key elements of inclusive recreation, adaptations, and other considerations like accessible spaces and activities. Interested in trying Sledge Hockey? Check out our community clinics.
