Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services

Comprehensive supports for Deaf and hard of hearing Manitobans.

what we offer.

Community Counselor

Our community counselor works with individuals and families to identify their needs and goals, providing education on Deaf culture, facilitating connections within community, supporting life skills development to foster greater independence, as well as offering guidance on effective communication and communication aids.

Social Worker

Manitoba Possible's Deaf and hard of hearing social worker supports clients in achieving their physical, psychological, and emotional goals. This includes help with applying for and navigating government programs, offering case management for clients with complex needs, advocating for accessibility resources for the Deaf and hard of hearing community, and providing assistance in finding mental health supports.

American Sign Language (ASL) Learning

We offer American Sign Language (ASL) classes to parents and family members of Deaf children, as well as families of hearing children who require ASL for communication. These classes are subsidized by the provincial government for families with children aged 17 and under.

Any organization or individual interested in enhancing their ASL skills can benefit from our tailored classes, workshops, and consultative services, designed to meet the specific needs of each group.
